Teen Titans issue 1

Ok lets admit it Sidekicks have never been at the top of our list of favorite characters. So what about an entire team of them?
Teen Titans features some of the more famous (as well as forgot about ) Sidekicks. Its had many different groups of Sidekicks. The TV show featuring, Robin (Dick Grayson) Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Kid Flash.
The original team in the comics consisted of Robin (Dick Grayson), Aqualad, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) and Speedy (Green Arrows Sidekick).
Then they used the team that was featured in the TV show, followed by a couple more different renditions, then another new team running series featuring the main team but with Tim Drake as Robin.

So now we have another new team. Red Robin (Tim Drake's new alias), Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark), Superboy, Kid Flash, and three others I don't recognize but will probably be introduced in later issues.

The cover features the new Titans in there new outfits!
Here are some pictures of the older outfits so I don't have to go through all the changes!

Red Robin

Wonder Girl

Superboy

Kid Flash.

Warning will be posting a total synopsis of Teen Titans issue 1.

We start with a news reporter covering a mansion on fire when Kid Flash shows up to help. Well typical Wally, ends up causing a back draft making the fire worse, but saving the fireman in trouble. Then exhausted he disappears. Tim Drake in a penthouse in New York watches news coverage from all over showing Teenage superheros, in what the news casters are calling a Meta-Teen Epidemic. He then realizes that his penthouse has been infiltrated and fights the men there to capture him (ironically the same man from N.O.W.H.E.R.E. that demanded the release of Superboy was there telling Tim to work for him, who answers by telling the men they should run while they can before the bombs he has set detonate, then jumps of the balcony, taking of a jacket revealing the machine he wears on his back that hold his Red Robin wings, and places his mask on as the building explodes.
Were then taken to California on a Pacific Coast Highway, we see a blond beauty driving a really nice car, really fast who then gets pulled over, as the cop gets out of the car we are given a view into the woods where a female figure all decked in white with a white hood covering her face can be seen. The cop then attacks the blond, not who he appears to be. Then Red Robin shows and saves her, telling her he knows who she is, and that people have begun to call her Wonder Girl, he tries to convince her to come with him to be part of a team.
When a N.O.W.H.E.R.E. chopper shows up, Cassie getting mad at Red Robin calling her Wonder Girl actually transforms into Wonder Girl and takes out the chopper single handed.
Were then taken to the lab where we see the scientist who was raising Superboy and the man demanding to release him.

This is the end of the issue.

So looks like we see Tim Drake taking charge as Red Robin, and trying to bring these chaotic teens into a team to work together. Starting with Wonder Girl. Who's suit resembles that of her original outfit, and that of Donna Troy's outfit. I like the hoodie attachment as well.
RR's outfit is pretty snazzy too, his wings protect him from bullets, but as hes not using them, they take the appearance of a feathered cape!!!
I like to see that hes gone back to a Domino mask instead of the full head cowl as well.

So I will prob keep reading this issue for a few reasons, I am liking RR, Superboy is a favorite of mine so anything hes in I will probably read, and I am curious as to the development of Wonder Girl.

That's it for issue 1 folks, next week marks the release of issue #2 for all the new 52 issues.
Next week:
There is only one that I will be reviewing if I can get my hands on it.
Red Lanterns issue #2.
